Title: Newb Question, sorry =/

Hey I've been a HUGE Freespace/Freespace 2 fan from the beginning, and I haven't played the game in years.  Well acouple weeks ago I found this website, Downloaded Freespace 2, and beat it 3 times.  I don't know if I've missed something somewhere, or if I'm just looking in the wrong places, but is there anywhere to download Freespace 1?

Welcome! :)

If you want to play FS1, there's the FreeSpace port. It allows you to play the main FS1 campaign plus most custom campaigns of that game. :)

But keep in mind that there are about 85 custom campaigns in circulation, many of which are considered as good as the main FS2 campaign(and sometimes better). Check them out! :)

ERm..if you want to play FS1, you might want to download the HTL Athena and HTL Typhon....AFAIK they are not in the VP's or the Port.

I remember the days when whenever anyone had a question or anything we could throw them at Kara's faq no matter what and have the problem solved.


I think Kara will need to update it more soon.

NO offences, to fans of FS Port. But i beleive the origional FS1 should be presented before FS2 Port. Lets give him the real thing first.

He might hate old graphics(I don't, I'm enjoying AC2 like I did 7 years ago).
