I've got a bunch of turrets on a cap ship that the targetting bracket is about 10 times as big as the actual turret. When the turrets get destroyed theres a massive explosion about the size of the entire ship. What could be going on

Does your turret model have a piece of something that shouldn't be there? ("debris" left over from modelling)
I'm not a pro at this, so you might have to wait for the experts.

In the table, what percentage of the hulls hit points has the turret been given?
(can't help with the targeting bracket problem - no idea)

The table values range, all under 1.0. I haven't had a chance to fix those yet.
Strange thing is, I pulled the turrets right off an existing working model. They appear to be bounded correctly in pcs.
This is what i mean, I'm currently targetting a turret at the very front of the ship

Have you made sure the pivot of the turret model is in a reasonable place, and not at 0/0/0 for example ?
-
Correct, center of object is positioned correctly. That would appear on my older model to if that was the problem.

loose verts?
-
If the base of the turret intersects with main hull polies (assuing they are large) could it cause something like this?

PCS conversion error
Happened to me several times.. Try the latest PCS2 build or use PCS1

That did the trick! Thanks Trashman
