Title: The Black Hand-Eps1
Post by: Hades on September 01, 2007, 08:52:19 am
Ok here is my problem; every time I play the mission with the base made up of freighters, it crashes wheen the pod that is supposed to dock with it reaches 1:00 on its, :Time to dock" when I target it.

Quick solution: don't target it.

Not that, I mean I have targeted it once the fighters are dead.I keep it targeted till 1:00, when it crashes on me.

Hmm. You sure that you haven't messed it up? Mine worked fine, with TBP 3.4 (the original installer), using fs2_open_3_6_9.exe, with Drums of War parts 1 and 2 present. Or, could you have a broken file there? Redownloading the campaign could help. But I stress the word could. No guarantees.

is there a difference between the original and the alternate installer, aside from the size ?
Okay, the campaigns all already included but I think it is the same programm.

I guess they both lead to the same conclusion, but

with IPAndrews' version you have absolutely no idea of what's going on

with hip63's installer you get fancy screens and a user-friendly interface and you actually get to make decisions about the installation.

Yeah.

The difference is that IP put his installer together in a hurry cause he knew he probably still wouldn't have released 3.4 if he didn't. :)

hip63 got to take longer over sticking it together and in general did a better job cause of that.
