Were is a link for the IRC add on for Fire Fox?
-
Right here. (http://www.google.com/)
-
In my siggy. :p
-
somone needs to nuke your siggy :D
-
If someone decided to nuke my siggy all I can say is they had definitely better PM me with its contents... or I'd be
-
Well you might want to sort it out before someone does then.
I'll agree that there is a lot of useful stuff in that sig but it takes up way too much space.
-
Well I was kinda hoping for someone to make a collapseable sig mod for SMF and rescue me.. :(
EDIT: I suppose I could just create a thread or two with some of the info that is in the same category (eg FS Installs) and put one link to that thread in my siggy.... :sigh:
-
That's how the FAQ got started. :D
-
Just horizontalize it by putting a bunch of the shorter lines into one line, seperated by |'s. That can easily halve the height without compromising any of the sig content.
-
That's how the FAQ got started. :D
You need to update it more often so we can continue throwing newbs and their problems at it :nervous:.
I remember those days. No matter what the problem, that was our answer.
-
... If I can, I'm going to wikify kara's FAQ, that way we can update it... I'll just make a section called "kara's FAQ"... if that's OK. I suppose I could make my own FAQ, but I know some stuff, and not so much of others. :doubt:
-
Go ahead. I've been tempted to wikify the whole thing for ages. The main reasons I haven't are two fold
1) The FAQ is my own personal view of things so by keeping it separate from the wiki I could state my opinions without having to worry about anybody else's.
2) I simply haven't had the time.
But being independent simply isn't worth letting the FAQ rot away to being useless so as long as the info goes into the appropriate sections and the commentary stays separate I'd have no objection.
-
How's my optimized sig?
-
Better but still on the heavy side.
-
Optimized it a hair more... got any suggestions? I'm running out of options, as I'm trying to keep the sig 1024x768 friendly.
-
HLP's IRC:
Is it that no one goes on there, or that I messed up?
-
What IRC client you use? If you use FireFox, get ChatZilla and try again. There are 10 users online,... including yourself, you twat! ;)
Twat is my new word of the day I guess.

o.O
Well, I was going to say that I suggest using a different client. Firefox IRC feels really bare-bones to me.
Something like Mirc or X-Chat 2 is much more feature-rich.
-
Details? I have mIRC, but why should I use it?
-
I dunno, I just prefer the feel of a stand-alone program. Usually has better scripting features, logging features, etc.
-
I tried Chatzilla but there were some issues that drove me off.
1. I had to constantly fight in order to get scandinavian alphabets to display correctly, with varying results.
2. If I've deduced this correctly, a crashing Firefox will also take the Chatzilla with it and a crashing IRC client is never a beautiful thing.
Currently my weapon of choice for IRCing is Orion (http://tellini.info/software/orion/).

OK, Nuke uses Pidgin.. I'll have to check these out.
