Finally a good terran marine transport...

and now please see what you can do about the Asteria, okay?

....wow. Dude, can I assume you've done texturing or at least graphic work for a while before now? 'Cos that's a loverly map you've painted there. :D
That said, you've already shown you're a lightning fast learner in terms of modeling, so I wouldn't really be surprised if you say you learned to texture as you go. ;)

Anyway, great work there.

I think I found a problem...

I've tried to place it in FRED. It shows up fine, but I can't move it unless I click the very center pixel of it. Is this like a radius problem or something?

Works fine here , I don't click it , just drags a selection box over it.

edit:  tried to click it too , had no problems with selection it.
so I don't know?

But moving it is annoying if you have to click on the very center all the time.

You might not be able to fix that particular issue in Fred, but that problem *can* indicate a faulty collision mesh.
In game, set it and yourself to be invulnerable and proceed to shoot it and ram it from as many angles as you can, looking for holes. I don't think you'll find any considering this was converted with PCS2, but it's worth a check. :)

you where right , it *was* a faulty mesh inside the ship , fixing it now..  :ick:
*feels stupid*

edit :fixed the errors but I couldn't do anything with the radius. sorry snail.

Hey, oddgrim, have you seen this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,47871.0.html)? They're always hiring modelers...

*hint hint*
:nervous:

EDIT: Careful, though. It's an old thread.

Those won't work. It can't be just ( Subach HL-7 ), it must be ( "Subach HL-7" ). Your table doesn't work, so we all use 0rph's fix.

anyway, your table had no ":" (where is that dicitonary if you need it?) or quotation marks in it when needed

Great Work!

Now can I hijack you for a one shot? I need conversion help for a beautiful model that mocks me, The USS Courageous.

As usual I have secured permission from author but they have no time for this.

It would be for the Trek Project and is a future version of the Defiant line/Philosopy.

  " An Error Occured!

Error #6029:
Too huge submodel, too many points defined.
Is: 8672, Should be <=8000

Open a different model or archive"

I'm just a converter/mesh/Texture tweeker. I have no real 3d or image skills though occasionally I get lucky.

If you'd be willing to try conversion (no other work required unless you wanted to do more pofing functions for it) I'd appreciate this. (and if you liked the experience I could set up more "one Shots" in the future from various genres not just Trek).

You'd be credited as a converter. As of now all meshes in my collection are credited to Author and others who have already had their hands/worked on it (I merely add my name to the ORIGINAL credits as converter, you'd be added under that of course.)

If you are interested just say so and I'll post the mesh/textures. Will be a spoiler yeah, but at this point I don't care, I just want another piece done for the mod and the fanfiction renders. It's been sitting on my drive for almost 2 years now.

If you are not interested, then my apologies for posting in your thread.

[edit] I noticed you came on. I'll take your silence as a "No."

Man you work fast, Oddgrim. I didn't think it would even be finished until INFASA had been completed.

I know it may seem a bit...ehm...exaggerate, but:

Would you like to to the same thing with the Argo? ;)

Please, make it different...something more...FS1-ish, ok? ;)

This Super Argo... What use is it? Boarding of Shivan destroyers? ;7
Title: Re: GTT Corsair -release -
Post by: Mobius on September 09, 2007, 10:23:36 am
Ok, at this point we can simply request a model for INF:A. A FS1-ish Argo in a FS2 environment is...a nonsense.
Title: Re: GTT Corsair -release -
Post by: Snail on September 09, 2007, 10:24:59 am
The Tartarus/Corsair is enough.

(We've named it "Tartarus" in INFA because it suits more to the FS1-type environment. Both Tartarus and Elysium are parts of the Underworld. Elysium being "heaven" and Tartarus being the "dark place.")
Title: Re: GTT Corsair -release -

It is weak. I clearly stated that we're in need of heavy transports!
Title: Re: GTT Corsair -release -
Post by: Snail on September 09, 2007, 10:37:53 am
The Tartarus/Corsair is strong enough. If it's not strong enough, increase hitpoints. We cannot have 3 Transports!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!1111!!oneone11!!!eleventy
Title: Re: GTT Corsair -release -
Post by: Mobius on September 09, 2007, 10:44:13 am
We can't have 3 transports? Woo/Who said it?!?

And increase the hitpoints? We need something able to resist to railgun attacks!

Ok, back IT...

No, we want a heavier version of the Argo. No wait, we just want a FS1ish version.
