Title: Installing FS2 from the CD's-Problem
Post by: lenard27 on September 09, 2007, 12:00:15 pm
So I was installing FS2 on my laptop for school (Which has Vista) and I got 90% done and had Disc 3 in the drive. I got an error that said:

ComponentMoveData error:
Media Name:  DATA
Component: Disc 3a-act 2 Command Briefs
File Group:  F:\tango2_fs2.vp
Error Number:  -117

Does anyone know how to fix that?  If I hit ok the installation just quits. Or does it even matter that much? I plan on using the SCP. And I know I can uncheck the Act 2 Command Briefings when i begin the install.

I did. But the problem is I cant use any open stuff because the retail FS2 is not installed on my computer. That's what the the launcher for SCP said when I tried to run it.

Eh?  Just select the Retail files from Turey's Installer.. see the Walkthrough in my sig.  Try cleaning your CDs (I breath on them, and wipe them off with a clean cloth (inside of my shirt) while the breath is still visible on that section).  If not, get a Game/CD/DVD Doctor, that will fix scratches.  I have one, they work (just don't let the CD dry out while re-surfacing).
