Been sitting on the nearly-done list for quite some time now. Smoothing isn't quite how i wanted it.

It looks like a baby toy.

Not bad at all, very likable. I find it somewhat reminiscent of the Sathanas Juggernaut, which is no bad thing. A suggestion, if it is to be a Shivan vessel - try temporarily re-skinning it with a few textures from a Rakshasa or Moloch and see if that helps it look a little more 'authentic'. Perhaps that might help identify tweaks to be made to your own skin for the vessel which you can incorporate into your design.
The thick red spikes on the engine compartment do remind me of a dog-collar which is probably not what you intended! Might I suggest trying longer spikes, grey in colour and swept back, similar to the look of the Moloch? This might busy-up the connection between the engine compartment and the body of the beast, which at present I think is a bit too Terran in design. YMMV! :)
I love the thin spines in two groups on the body, they look great! I have this fantasy of them organically waving back in forth in line as the ship moves, a bit like a cuttlefish's fin or something similar..
Of course, you can always just cop out and make it look like another bug... :D
Great work, I look forward to any developments with this model!

What's with the fish-scale oil spill textures?

Sorry, not shivan at all, more like pseudo-Nephilim in nature.
What's with the fish-scale oil spill textures?
Organic shell hull is beyond my abilities... this is about as close as i can get.
-
So, you're not referring to the SB Nephilim, then, you're referring to a completely different Nephilim.
I think that may be where some of the confusion's coming from.
-
Ahhh forgot about the neph. bomber... fixed :)
-
The Nephilim is a race from Wing Commander Prophasey, this is a ship based off their styles.
Great work Scooby, as always :eek2:

:welcomesilver:
Yes, it looks Shivan. But the design and the textures are unknown for me. It seems like a living ship. The name "Stenorhynchus seticrnis" suggests it. :)

ARE YOU BLIND  :hopping:

Nephlim were always so...ugly. Just disasters of design, don't really look alien, cheesy glowy texture bits. Sadly this does not improve.

I didnt play prophasy much :nervous:, i cant even find it in stores :doubt:, but i always got the creeps when i saw them in vids

I think the name should be Samael,
The angel of death sounds pretty wicked sick!
Samael : demon angel of death, prince of the power of the air
