Under AT&T's new terms of service.

Once again I point my finger at America and laugh.
-
Heh, I guess their next move is to suspend their own access to Internet and find another service provider, because their actions definitely harm their reputation...

-
I still dont understan how they come up with this stuff, was there a meating like :
"So what should we put in the new terms of service"
"I dont know, that you arent allowed to shoot people while talking"
"No lets make it so that we can shut down their acount for anything we see unfit, cause that will not make our customers angry or anything"

One day they'll go too far, and I'll laugh as I watch their buildings burn down.
I use AT&T, so my access will be terminated in 3..2..*crish*
-
they have desecrated the ancient grounds upon which the sacred internet providers of old once stood! the earth must be clensed by fire!
-
I'm glad it wasn't Qwest again...
they make up a good chunk of Denver's economy

Hmmm. Maybe this is actually a good thing and the plan is to kick people offline who act like n00bs. :D AOL for instance used to have a reputation as the ISP for idiots. It got so bad that pretty much anyone using was instantly assumed to be an idiot by the wider internet.
Maybe that's who they plan to kick offline. :D Those sort of people would definitely fit the description of the ToS.
Oh and a cookie to the first person to humorously photoshop the Soup Nazi into an AT&T setting with the caption "No Internet for you!"
-
They have horrible phone service too.

...Actually, I could totally respect that kind of customer service policy. You know the place where Lucas works in CAD? That kind of ISP could actually get some loyal customers - assuming they were competent.

These always make me smile... ;7

This is what happens when you let *Bell*.* reform into its original AT&T monopoly. As if the existing Bell companies didn't already re-write the epitome of suck on a daily basis for the past two decades, with the possible exception of Verizon.
I hope EVERYONE violates this so they effectively remove their entire client base and go under. Hard. Wishful thinking, I know, but I can dream, can I not?

Tell me about it... when a friend and I were running CS servers back in '00, we finally just banned the entire AOL subnet. We sang Dennis Leary's 'I'm an Asshole' song while doing it, and the games definitely went much more smoothly afterwards.
-
Maybe they just stuck it in there to see if anyone actually reads the terms of service.
-
You mean like the whole "you promise not to use the .gif animator to produce nuclear or biological weapons." thing?
P.S.
I lied.
