Hi. It's me again. I'm sure none of you remember me but just in case you do. I'm still alive. Okay, with that out of the way, let's get down to business.
First: Is it possible to change the default controls of a pilot. Even if someone makes a new file?
Second: Can you change the look of the HUD config screen? I want a custom HUD but if I want to change the colors then I get the default, FS2 one
Third: I remember seeing a tag a while back about a countermeasure's effectiveness against aspect and heat seeking secondaries. I checked the wiki and they have mysteriously vanished. What gives.
And just in case anyone answers. Thank you! ;)

i just edit the hcf files

Go into Options>HUD Config ingame. Click on an element of the HUD and adjust the sliders to the left.

That's not quite what I meant. What I was talking about was the actual shape of the HUD elements. If I make a custom reticule, it works fine in-game but when I go into the HUD config screen it still shows the default one. Is there some specific graphic or table for the ones used in the HUD config because there are already weapons selected and a guy in the chat window? ALso, what about the controls?
P.S what's an hcf file :o

The icon in the options menu is a different icon than the ingame one. However, it's compleley moddable. It should be a .pcx file, look for it in the fs2 vp files. You don't need to edit a table since fs2 only ever looks at one interface and it's prety locked-in. (THis issue is one of many problems I have with fs2 interface).
The HCF file stands for...wait for it... "Hud Configuration File". Guess what it does.

Lol thanks! :p Problem is there are like 1500 pcx files in the sparky VP file. Could you give me a specific name?
