Looks like there's some smoothing errors on it. Other than that, looks good

One day, you will run out of things to model. I will be waiting. :drevil:

It's probably more likely an advanced lighting rendering issue. Convex corners don't show up very well, if at all.

Maybe it's just me, but I have a strong feeling that is not gonna happen anytime soon. Like for the next 5 years. Completely unfounded guess, yes. :drevil:
The Victory was a class???? I seem to recall that the Victory was of the Vesuvious (sp?) class. Am I incorrect?
-
If I'm not mistaken the "Victory", the one you flew off of in wc3 or was it 4? It was either a Ranger or Concordia class (note not the WC2 ship Concordia, that was a Confederation class). There was two Vesuvious's that i know of, Vesuvious and St. Helen and whatever was destroyed in WC5 Secret Ops.
Edit: or...... it could be another name for the Ranger class..... confused at this point LOL
However this class uses both ranger class and confed class
-
Yes, you served on the Victory in WC3: Heart of ther Tiger, but I do not believe it was its own class.
The only thing I recall for certain is that it was very very old. It served even before the official forming of the Confederation.
Wait, I just remembered: It said in the game manual that it was the 3rd carrier built of that class, but for the life of me, I do not recall which it was. :sigh:
-
Ranger, or more correctly called Yorktown now. Corcordia came around in WC4
-
In WC3 you had the "TCS Victory" a Yorktown-class carrier. It was indeed a very old design, build when carriers where there to support ground assaults since shieldbreaking fighterweapons haven't been developed yet.
The "TCS Victory" and TCS St. Helens" where both Vesuvius-class super carriers. The one destroyed in WC5 was the "TCS Eisen" IIRC.
The we have got the "TCS Concordia" a Confederation-class dreadnougth and your base in WC2.
And last but least there was the "TCS Lexington" from WC4 that was a Concordia-class carrier.
So everyone confused enough ^_^
As for you model scooby. Interesting design but you should decide for one kind of forward structure. As it its now it looks strange.
-
I like it acutally :) One of your best designs so far  Just do something about those two gunbarrels (or torpedo launchers) under the noses, those plain cylinders look a little strange there.
-
PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!!! GIMME!!!!!!!! :P
seriously, that is awesome- but why does it have landing pylons/struts?

Shame on you, Lars, for spreading false information. May you burn in hell. :D
The Concordia-class carrier has been around for a while. If I am correct, the first ship of this class was the TCS Concordia (destroyed in the battle of McAuliffe).
-
Sorry type it should be "TCS Vesuvius" instead of "TCS Victory" ^_^
Also I am not sure about the Eisen.

With that 'island' (the stack on a aircraft carrier) thing on the top it makes it look like you need a runway on top. :p
-
Your both wrong :s it was either a ranger class or confederation class carrier. Doesn't matter though cos scoob could have just been inspired by the original vic to make a new class :)

I think they look fine, if perhaps a bit big. Are there a different type of capital-class torpedo that they would be using? Or are those launchers for capship missiles instead? I was never clear on what classes of ships could launch capship missiles, nor on whether they were launched from tubes, external mounts, or the fighter bay. If the forward tubes are solely for launching typical torpedoes, you might consider making them double or triple tubes, if you're going to make the mounts so large.
-
Destroyers, Cruisers and Megacarriers launch Capship Missiles :)
But Scoobs ships can do whatever they like cos they're purdy........
-
Great!
It looks aggressive and heavily armed. Like a pitbull ready to attack.
Maybe Scooby has found a way to have a day with 48 hours (or maybe he doesn't sleep?), we should ask him about that...
-
IMHO, it looks better than the one currently used :P

Bloody hell it's been over a year now. :nervous:

Off topic to the ship, but pretaining to the genre the ships come from, did you ever make a Midway class?
Nevermind, you did.

Most of these WC models could (with a bit of a reskin) be used in all manner of FS stuff too.
