Yes, you read that right, I am now just getting into Morrowind thanks to finding the $20 game of the year edition at Best Buy.
Now onto my problem: I cannot find this guy named Hassour Zainsubani Anywhere in Ald'rhun. I know he's supposed to be at the Inn. I've looked for him for about 3 hours and cannot find the guy. Does anyone know where the heck he is?
And I know its an older game, and I left a post on a Morrowind forum, but it doesn't seem to be very active anymore. And I have a feeling you guys are smarter anyways...
EDIT: Okay, so I finally found the damn guy. I can't believe how stupid I am.

Was he the guy you had to give a gift to? the ashlander? Sometimes he won't appear and you need to cheat to spawn him.

Yup it was that guy. He was downstairs, under the bar. Everytime I looked at that second set of stairs I thought that it was the stairs that led down to the bedrooms

LOL did you steal his books and give them back to him as a gift?

No, I played it straight. Plus, I went looking for him in the bookstore and when I talked to the guy in there, well, he kinda talked me into buying books for him. I hate it when i get persuaded into buying something by an NPC. They're worse than car salesmen for me!

The funnest thing in this game was going into people's houses and killing them to use their house as a treasure chest. Ex. that Pawn shop in Balmora. I filled that up pretty quickly, though.
-
The pawn shop in the corner as you first enter balmora from the south? Lady works there? I used that one as my primary selling place. The house in the elite section, I believe you get a quest to kill him and his associates ('the bad men'). I use that house as my home.

In the future this will help you a lot in getting around, finding X, doing Y, and doing it with Z.
I've just recently started Oblivion, and I'm not thrilled by all the changes (why can't I wear something below or on top of my armor?), and I'm too old to be taken in by pretty graphics.
Back in Vardenfell on the isle of Morrowind, I wouldn't take a step though without installing a couple of mods :
Cosmetic mods to make it pretty

-Animal Realism: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=24
Stops rats and other animals from suicidally attacking you all the time - they will only attack if they think they can win/eat.
-Morrowind Enhanced: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2576
Adds a bunch of crafting and other fun things to the game. Every wanted to smith your own sword?

I remember there used to be a GCD? mod. It replaced the levelling process, so in theory you could level forever and would choose your which of the four attributes would raise depending on your usage.

Is there any other place to get these mods besides fileplanet? I checked them out and they look awesome, except I don't have a membership to fileplanet

Registration to Fileplanet is free, it's subscription that charges you. Despite all the touted benefits of "paying them money for faster download speeds, etc" I've never really had a problem with excessive lines on the free servers. In fact, lately every single file I've grabbed from Fileplanet has had no wait at all.
So create a login, it's painless enough.
-
Alright, I didn't see that the registration was free, all I saw were a bunch of subscription screens and stuff. Thanks!

You're welcome. Those files really do a lot to improve the visual feel of Morrowind, especially the better heads. The difference in detail is quite striking.
-
Yeah, better heads and better bodies made a huge difference. I'd recommend it to anyone who plays Morrowind for sure. Thanks for pointing that stuff out, Flaser.

Play Oblivion.
You don't need to kill people there you, get a REALLY nice house in a pretty town. I stocked it with all the extra magic items I had (damn shopkeepers ran out of money, couldn't buy them from me...) It was begining to look like a really nice museum...hehehe.
-
Yeah, I'd play Oblivion but my laptop can't handle it and my home computer can but probably with the graphics turned down. But I'm not home anyways for any length of time until summer. I'm hoping to finish Morrowind and both Expansion packs during Christmas break. I doubt I will, but it's a nice plan to have
