It's pretty good, but the ending's a wee bit cheesy.

Yeah, it does look like something of an "all or nothing" for Ep 3. Nice inclusion of Aperture as well... really ties the whole lot together quite nicely.

Hopefully Ep 3 won't take that long to see release though (compared to Ep 2 anyway) as they won't be bringing Portal and TF2 out with it at the same time...

Hopefully you get to/have to use a portal gun at some point in the future.

One would assume that similar technology exists on board the Borealis.

Well that's true, but given Valve have tied the Black Mesa and Aperture Lab. histories together - both in Portal and in Ep:2 - it's a fair bet that what you'll find at least has a passing resemblance to the styling of Portals tech.

That said - how they'd go about combining Portal and Half Life as games is beyond me - Portal contained very strict specs on where you could and couldn't create portals, as well as a lack of other weaponry available to the player. Half Life on the other hand features are far more "natural" world with other weaponry also available. They'd have a very hard time allowing you to create portals in the Ep:2 or Ep:3 worlds.

I suspect they'll just make a second Portal game and keep the portal gun out of Gordon's hands entirely.

LOL at the last part of that video, where he creates the portal to drop the can into the trash can in the well-recognized sequence :p
