Title: Problem with caligari3.2
Post by: Titan on October 17, 2007, 02:28:59 pm
im having a problem. i tried to view the Gryphon in caligari, and now when i try and use it, instead being able to move things like this: ||||||||| (you know, slowly and smoothly) i can only move things like this: |    |    |    | (you know, it jumps around, so i cant get the desired shapes)

im pretty sure 3.2 isn't supported anymore, i couldn't find support for it. so can somone help me?

What PC do you have? Anything reasonably modern should have no trouble with Truespace 3.2 (Which I presume is what you actually mean).

Could it possibly the model that's messing stuff up? I seem to remember the Gryphon being a bit buggy.

Maybe it's not very helpful, but I know what you mean :)  It's been a long since I used 3.2 the last time, but this happens in two occations :

Either when the model has to many polies, and even more strange, sometimes something in the programm get's ****ed up. Re-Install it. I had that a few times, don't know why, but it helped :)

Same here, I have 5.1 and 6.0, and the 6.0 version made me a lot of trouble and often messed up my files. 5.1 ist the best I've used so far

I had the same problem when I first got TS. I can't remember what it was as I haven't used it in years. Axis constraints maybe ? There's definetly an option to force the cursor to move between set distances or free movement.

try this tab to switch the grid mode. if its active it will cause your view to jump around like you said. if it works then yay! if not then i'm SOI...
