Title: ionia23
Post by: Goober5000 on November 03, 2007, 04:56:33 pm
Anyone know how to get ahold of him?  He isn't answering his email (or maybe all my messages are getting eaten by his spam filter) and he owes me some voice acting lines for Silent Threat: Reborn. :)

That's a pretty old name, VBB era I think. I haven't seen him in the FS community for ages.

Well, he did VA work for Derelict, and he has visited the forum recently (according to his profile), even if he's not terribly active.  But aside from his initial enthusiastic agreement to voice act, he hasn't answered the messages I've sent -- either through his profile email or through PM.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of another way to contact him, whether via another email, or IM, or something.  Or on the off chance he happens to drop by the forum and sees this topic himself. :)

Just get another voice actor if he's not around.

I think I found him.. Google is your friend.  I've tried to contact him and will post back here if I'm successful.

Thing is, he already said he'd voice for me, so I want to hold him to it. :) Plus he's got a good voice.

Google merely reveals the email address I already have, from which he has not answered.  It's possible my email simply isn't getting through.

Eh?  I found a site that he's posted in recently.  :p  Actually, there's several forums, etc, but I haven't checked the others for activity yet... one at a time.

Goober, can you look at the second link, and see if his birthday matches the one from his account here?  IDK... he lists freespace as one of his interests, as well as babylon 5, and unreal tournament (meaning he likes games, and freespace).  I've sent him a message, but LiveJournal is the dickens hard to use, checking your inbox might not be obvious (I had to look for it, and didn't find it at first).

His birthday isn't listed, but I'm sure that's the same guy, as he has the same handle and first name.

Just out of curiosity, what role did ionia23 played as on Derelict?

Can't you get someone else to do the voice acting?

We're attempting to do so.  Voice actors are in short supply, however.  (Good ones anyway.)

I could try some voice acting, if somebody tells me how to do it :D
But shouldn't this kind of threads be started in another board? It's not quite clear what this has to do with FreeSpace an sich, IMHO.
