Greetings all!
I've just recently stumbled upon this total conversion and being a Babylon5 fan i immediatly tried it !
However i have a problem witht the campaign, to make it brief in the very very first mission of the earth-minbari war demo you have to protect 2 cruisers :
There are some waves of minbari fighter and i manage to kill them all, then a minbari cruiser appears and 5 second later one of 2 terran cruiser is destroyed (i guess this is scripted and no way to prevent it right?)
The other one than jumps and i follow him with my little fighter .. and then ??
After the jump i don't receive new objectives , there are no more enemies to fight and i fail to see a docking chance with the cruiser
Can you please direct me on what i am supposed to do ? [if there is a sort of walkthrough is appreciated!]
I already tried another campaign (the training one) and i did manage to complete the missions so i guess it's simply my failing to understand what to do =)
Thank you!
Fabio

:welcomered:
In most cases, a mission ends when you jump out. Which means that once you are ordered to jump, hit alt+j. The same way you do in FreeSpace.

oh my !! :D
That didn't occured to me at all!
I'll try it , if that was the case i'll just laugh hard, done the mission like 5 time :)))
Thank you!
[i'll report back if that DON'T fix the issue !]

It'll work. You'll just create your own little jump point and go through it. I think the only campaign where you jump with a bigger ship through the same jump point is Drums of War (1 or 2, can't remember).

that problem often comes up for people who search for B5 stuff, discover this great mod, but have never played FS2 before. :)
-
It's because TBP exists in an alternate B5 universe where Earthforce discovered how to make jump drives extremely small. =P
-
no, the big ships open jump points for you !!! (explained in Raider Wars) :)
-
Confirmed and it works perfectly :)
Actually i did play the original many years ago (but didn't recall the jump thing at all)
Maybe you can add a small hint in the wiki that to end a mission you have to use alt-j :D it certainly stucked me :P
Now back on playing ^^_^^

The Earth minbari demo was the first release of TBP ( and I remember how great it was back in the old days to have the possibility to fly a starfury in battle with decent grafics )
Back then, to jump out was the only possible way to end a mission. On the other hand, Babylon 5 figters weren't jump capable. So we had to come up with a solution.
"Modern" mission don't have to be ended this way.

most of them do not :blah:

Hello,
congratulations to your great mod! For me as a plain "user" it seems to be a kind of magic, what you do.
But to my question. I've got a similar problem with mission 1 in the Earth-Minbari-War Demo - Campaign: After the destruction of EAS Dublin I got told that Yorktown makes ready to leave the system. The Minbari Cruiser warps out, but the Yorktown stays in place. The mission doesn't end.
Can you help me telling what to do?
Bye, Schwabba

Are you flying very close to the Yorktown or are you far away? You have to be very close (somewhere around 200 meters IIRC) to it for you and it to jump.

Thank you, Hades. Your hint was the right one.
