Title: Two questions
Post by: Sarafan on November 24, 2007, 06:45:09 pm
Just that really, how do I change my Custom Title? And why dont we have avatars like in other forums?

1 - you can't.

2 - It's a hierarchy concept. Traditionally avatars were collections of project badges that represented the work that individual modders did, or were doing. It also meant that Admins (the only ones with custom avatars) were easily identifiable.

But I was the one who wrote mine. Twice, first brazillian psycopath and later Murderer of Rictor IIRC.

Well, now you can't. Life is.

No, you just can't. You never have been able to. Custom Titles were awarded for stupidity or exemplary work. If you put yours in, it's a fluke.

I don't think we need two active threads on titles.

So closed.

FYI, this is the story of how Sarafan's title got granted.

Quite a while ago, Styxx (who is Brazilian) and Rictor were taking potshots at each other.  This went on for a while, and eventually somebody (not me, and not necessarily Styxx) gave Rictor the title "Murdered by Brazilian psychopath".

Recently, I noticed that Sarafan's personal text read "Brazilian psychopath".  Since it had been awhile since Styxx and Rictor had exchanged barbs, I decided to change Sarafan's title to "Murderer of Rictor" as a sort of in-joke.

Now that the personal text has been changed, and the title has more or less run its course, I don't mind resetting it.  So, it's now "No Title".
