Are any of these new for you guys? I've seen about half, I guess. I like the wheels; it's cool, and I hadn't seen it before.

Bah, static optical illusions are so yesterday. Bow before the might of the rotating snakes !

Awesome!!! :p You didn't comment on my animated illusion! :(
-
especially if you just smoked a bowl

This is one of the best I've seen:

Are A and B the same color?
-
At a glance I'd say 'No', which probably means the correct answer is 'Yes'
-
Ii makes no sense.. they are on a checkerboard patterns, logic dictates the lie on OPPOSING colors.
the shadow seems too weak to balance it out.
-
Checked it in Photoshop, they are the same colour....that's freaky.
-
A and B looked the same color to me at first glance =/.
-
You mean the actual letters, right? :p
-
You mean the actual letters, right? :p
No, the squares. They're both 120, 120, 120.
-
Go into photoshop and delete everything but those two squares... they look the same then.
-
Or you could just stare at 'B'.
-
Or you could just stare at 'B'.
Yeah, just focus on the letters instead of the blocks surrounding them.
-
Awesome, move your eyes while staring at the snakes. even the static ones seem to move

:wtf: Umm... no?

Their both very close to 120,120,120.
Do like i said above and the colors will appear correctly.
BTW it appears they used two different light shadow renderings to make this image.
-
:p OK. Umm, yes. :nervous:

If you wear glasses, then look at this image while turning your head left and right. You should see the tiles change color. Kinda neat, mostly useless. :p

Ooooh, chromatic aberration.

Glasses aren't required; I have 20/20 vision and can still detect a colour shift.
-
I get that effect on many normal objects in real life if I look out of the corner of my glasses. :p It's especially noticeable around high contrast boundaries, like a piece of paper on a dark table.

Sure. I thought Swantz meant the letters -- "A and B looked the same color to me at first glance". I guess he just got an extraordinary eyesight. ;)

Weird, if I try it without my glasses I detect little or no color shift at all. Guess it goes to show everyone sees differently. :)
-
I can see the color shift without glasses...
Perhaps I need some?
-
I can't see it without my glasses, but that is only because everything becomes an unrecognizable blur. :p

Alright, let's see if this works, all people who use glasses, try this (http://krampf.com/experiments/Science_Experiment37.html).
-
Ahh yes, the pinhole glasses :D

They do work. Not very practical for common use though, due to the dark image and minimal field of vision.
