I have FS Port (3.0.4 version) installed. Now I'd like to install Athena HTL and Ross 128 campagin but I don't know how do it.
1. In Athena's Readme is "change the .pof file name to bomber01.pof in \FSPort\data\models". I'd do it but I don't have this folder! What's going on?
2. Campagins for FS Port. No readme, no clue on forum (at least where I've seen). Simple putting in missions folder doesn't work.
I know these questions seems to be as from newbie (and they are!) so I hope everything is under any link wchich I haven't. Please help :)

Quite off-topic.
But may I mention your version is.. antiquated?

According to post sticked at this sub-forum it's the newest. Am I wrong again?

Create folders such as \freespace\fsport\data\models, if you don't have them. Check out \freespace\data\ to see just what kind of folders you can create in \mod name\data\ folders.

If a campaign comes in a .vp file, create a folder for it in the root freespace directory, such as \freespace\Ross128 in this case, then place the vp in that folder. Note that you shouldn't put spaces in the directory names. Then, check out Karajorma's FreeSpace FAQ, the section concerning installing mods. There you'll learn how to make a mod.ini file, which is quite necessary for playing mods that require FSPort.

No.

3.0.4 is the latest.
Folders don't originally exist when you install Freespace.
Go to your FSPort folder, create a new folder, and name it "data," without the quotes (or the comma, if you want to be a jerk about it. :P). If there's already a folder like that, create a new folder called models in the data folder and put the Athena .pof in that folder. For campaigns, just put them in a folder called "missions", which, again, you have to make.
[EDIT]Ah, Lobo got it first.

OK thanks guys. I works :D
But not everything (I mean - campagin, Athena is beautiful). I did it with Tango and Rain On Ribos 4 but not with Ross 128. I thought it seems to be something wrong with campagin. I downloaded it again from here (http://www.sectorgame.com/goober/ross128.html) but it still doesn't work. The game doesn't "see" that (there isn't Ross in campagin room). Do you know what's going on?
-
Did you remember to select the Ross128 folder as your mod from the Launcher?
-
Of course I did. I've done it with other campagins and it is alright, only Ross 128 doesn't work.
Now I saw there's one mission (Ross 128 from Ross128 file) in Mission Simulator. But only one. Still there isn't it in Campagin Room.
-
Ross 128 only has one mission.
Also, it's a Port mod, so you can't run it on its own. You need to either find a mod.ini for it or do something like -mod Ross128,fsport.
-
So why when I start any other fsport mod (Tango and Rain On Ribos 4) there is it in Campagin Room but Ross 128 is only in Mission Simulator, not campagin consists of one mission?
-
Because Ross 128 is a mission, whereas Tango and Rain on Ribos 4 are campaigns. There's probably some really good reason why Ross 128 hasn't been made into a campaign, and I'm guessing that it's because it's just one goddamn mission.

OK, thanks for freespace teaching.
BTW @Goober5000 great job with this Ross 128
