Title: Turambar's fault
Post by: Trickwaffle on December 11, 2007, 02:38:38 pm
Hi, I'm Mitch or Trickwaffle if you prefer. I've been conscripted by Turambar to join this forum for reasons i'm not entirely clear on. I am however a 3d modeler, so that may have something to do with it... So, Sup all?

:welcomered:

You don't actually need a reason to join HLP. We're just happy to get new members.

And a modeler, you say? That's fantastic. Either start modeling whatever you want, or search for projects that need modelers and assist them. Either way, your contributions shall indeed be appreciated.

OH SNAP! POSTING WELCOME SPEECH!

:welcome:

Exits are to the sides and rear. Flamethrowers are under the seats and have finally been refilled with napalm, so they work as you'd expect now. Serious weapons are available in the event of a real catastrophe, but the weapon lockers can only be opened by an Admin, [V]-God, or hyperintelligent shade of the colour blue. Do not approach the control room, as it is guarded by subspatial claymore mines. Thank you and enjoy your stay!

On a more serious note: Are you a Freespace fan, or has Turambar not introduced you to the awesomeness? You'll be hearing about it a lot around here either way.

And just a question to everyone: what projects is Turambar working on?

/me duckrolls

Nah, I'm following the spirit of the law at least. It wasn't a super-long version of The Speech, and there was more to my post than the speech alone.

yup, i'm draggin these guys in.

apparently, even my noobish skills here are quite something in this SGD program, and some of my friends want to get some mod experience.

i'm bringing them here, since its where i 'grew up' and because FS2_Open is so easy to mod.  I figured you guys would appreciate an influx of talent, or, in this case, an influx of warm bodies.

@janos:  ... what?  :wtf:

Welcome and hello....

Well if either of you are interested in projects using the FS2 SCP
but not hosted here or at Game Warden, the FringeSpace conversion
is looking for additional modelers.

If you'd like more information on us visit www.FringeSpace.org

RazorsKiss is in charge of the modelers and coders group, so you may
want to contact him directly if interested further.

Have a great day (or evening or morning - whichever is applicable).  :)

*Potentially stupid question*  Why is the welcome speech forbidden, I find it quite entertaining.

Because people were overusing it and most didn't understand all those insider jokes anyway.

That, and the people keeping track of their welcomed newbs to add another meaningless number to their e-penis.
