There's a song which I've heard around (I guess maybe on the radio) a few times in the past 6 months. And since it has no lyrics, I have nothing to go by when searching for it.
It sounds vaguely like the YTMND Batman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l12Csc_lW0Q) song, meaning it's just nonsensical gibberish. But it's not that. It's a higher pitched voiced and sounds more generally cheery. The closest I can get to articulating it is: da da da da da dum dum day.
Can anyone help a brotha' out? Yes, I know I'm weird.

record yourself singing it and post
for our amusement so we can help you.

"Let's Party Like It's 1904 (http://www.nukelol.com/temphost/YTMND%20Soundtrack%20-%20Volume%2013%20-%2012%20-%20Rex%20Navarrete%20-%20Let's%20Party%20Like%20It's%201904%20%20(e_trinity%20Dumb%20H.mp3)"?

Nope.
The song somehow calls to mind the image of a dancing illustrated mouse/meerkcat/thing with a weird face a top hat. Or something. Sound familiar? It's part of Internet memeology somehow, just can't recall how.
-
It's not the leekspin song is it? Nah, now that I think about it that's actually in some language, not gibberish.

If you can remember where it came from, as in the site/show/etc, I might be more able to help. Even more detail as to what you think it's genre may be would help.

Yes!
Here is is, the object of my mental anguish

Ah, what I relief. And to someone who doesn't speak Finnish, which is a damn weird language to begin with, it totally sounds like gibberish.
-
Now now. Finnish can be a very international language as well. If, for example, a Finn came to your house, threw an axe on the ground and yelled "Talo tyhjÀksi, perkele!", you'd know what he wants.
-
that is a creepy song...

* Wonders what the hell is going on *
Oh, it is sung in a tone of an old Finnish folk song, this time with gibberish lyrics. Okay, word here and there are actual words, but most of them are simply just noises.

(This is the song by a Finnish band, beware, the video is quite cheap remake of Saturday Night Live clip, but there are some flavors added.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN9ARuSM7Mo&feature=related
(This is the actual song with correct words.)
Now that I'm here, I might as well promote some other stuff, like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyIskVO_QW4 (An old folk song, actual Finnish words)
One competitor from the last Idols, this is actually quite good.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYrNG8Uc6Qw
I love the attitude (problem) of the old Finnish folk songs!
----------------------------------------
Then talk about stereotyping:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_1vX-8uUUk
and even more so, but this is just as justified:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzSOOYE3gPY&feature=related
(Lyrics are Swedish and are real words. You don't want to know what they are singing about, but I think you can get the idea if you watch the video... And, by looking at the clothing, you can guess that the competitor nation is of course Finland.)
If someone is dumb enough not to understand it by first sight, the last two clips are from an old Finnish comedy show. And, further, if nobody else but Finns got the idea, the Youtube clips are part of a sketch where representatives of different nationalities have to guess what is the original country of those played clips. I think you can guess the answer.
I love the attitude problem of the Finns.

As a side note, I was seriously considering putting up a link to some Finnish song and translating the lyrics in English. Then I realized I cannot do that, since you folks probably couldn't handle it. (..."You can't say such things in a melody like that!"...)

Canada!

Which one were you considering? This one is pretty hard to top... CMX - Matti (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw_7nX0iQTc) :mad2:
I'll leave the lyrics for someone else to reveal, though. They are rather... well. Indescribable. :p
Other I can think of would be The Land of Sad Songs... ;7

Bah, the CMX's song is only a typical protest song. Land of Sad Songs is more like it, but doesn't hit home as, for example, this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49f_3SUgX20
Try and explain the idea in English, if the verses go like ('...At the bottom of the ditch spitting teeth I threw up blood and cried...') Oh, and there is a reason why the singers are partially transparent. Sometimes I feel heavy metal bands should take note on Finnish popular songs...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9x52lMMk1g
Maybe not so flashy a song, but again try and explain the content
('... Both the seal and the old man are last of their family lines ...')
The big thing about this song is that it is Real and has actually happened. All the stuff that is sung has indeed happened.

From the same guy, as above. This is next to impossible.
