I know it's a little past Christmas for this but the holidays got in the way.

The Twelve Days of FreeSpace

On the twelfth day of FreeSpace
My Captain gave to me
Twelve wings of fighters
Eleven flak guns blazing
Ten botched orders
Nine Ancient records
Eight Hornet missiles
Seven dying wingmen
Six beam cannons
Five Knossos rings
Four juggernauts
Three Shivan legs
Two Trebuchets
And a captured ETAK device

Now go out and spread some FreeSpace cheer! :D

The 3 Shivans line doesn't scan.

And a chrushed Neo-Terran Front

Nobody expects the grammar inquisition. Since the word 'eight' is present, you should use the plural of 'wingman', which happens to be 'wingmen'.

Now..the 12 and 11 lines...something needs to be done about it..

12 fighters fighting?
12 bombers bombing?
12 squadrons fighting?

I like the last line.  It fits.  A line about Carl would be redundant after the third day.
