I got a hold of several HEAD ani's and I plopped them into the HUD folder, but re-named them so they continue after the stock 5 Command heads.
In FRED they appeared in the EVENTS editor and I was happy.
Now I switched over to an inferno build as I need support for more ships...and its' gone! The extra command heads heads don't show up anymore!
Was this jsut a fluke or glitch or was there actually a feature liek this?
If not, can you add it?

What happens if you temporarily remove the ships.tbl and go back to a non-inferno build?

Either I'm using a different earlier build or somethings wrong.... they are now gone when I use the older build :(
I wants my many head anis'!!!!!
If that wasn't in the code can it be added? Does sound like too much trouble for the engine to just look other head ani's that follow the same naming convention...

As in - they don't appear in FRED drop-down menu anymore...the new command heads appeared right after CM5 before

There are many pics of INF SCP in which the new Head Anis can be seen! INF SCP uses an Inferno build!

IIRC they replace the stock ones.
One can always use the browse function to add new heads but it's somewhat tedious. Why not make FS2 auto-recognize them if they are named properly. This is one thing I know it's easy to do.

Didn't say *I* would or can do it :p
But since I will be looking at FS code for my paper anyway I can always give it a shot.

You know it's an epic project when you can't tell if something is a bug or a feature. :lol:
