Title: Not copying Derek! Lore is now free!

I apparently forgot to post this:

Max Gaming released our first PC (and Mac and Linux) shooter: Dark Horizons: Lore for free just before Xmas. See, not really copying Derek, I just forgot to put my marketing hat on

So, amongst other places to get it, the least hassle is from GarageGames.com at:

You should also be able to get it from CNR (Linspire) and a couple other places.

EDIT: Where do we get it? When I click "Free Download", it says that it's a demo - do I just download that?

DaBrain: Its a multiplayer game, with pretty standard shooter controls. I am sure you'll do fine.

For those not interested in clicking on the link in my title, here's the last print review we got, the game is several years old now and showing its age, engine wise, but people still seem to enjoy it, when there are other people to play with.

That screenshot tells me somethings terribly wrong with this thing supposed to be muzzle flash.

I think that's just the lensflare around the sun...

There is a bug on the EC MAV's with gatling guns where the muzzle flash anim is opaque, solid white, and always there until you fire it. Bad animation state that we never fixed.

The lobby seems to be full then empty, so, don't be discouraged if nobody is there, it DOES eventually warm up. No idea what's dictating the cycles, but there is a cycle.

Sounds a bit like the problem FS2 has these days. ;)

There are enough players, but (of course) they don't look all into the hosted game list at the exact(!) same time.

Hmm... Started once.. then crashed when i tried to set screen reso and now won't start at all any longer...

EDIT: After forking around the cs files i got it to run but now it wont die peacefully...
