Hey, all. Can anyone tell me how to add custom music files to FreeSpace 2?

Place a .wav or .ogg (I don't think .mp3's work) into the music folder under Data.

Then tell FRED to play the music.

Now if you want to put it new soundtracks (that is, songs broken up so that the game can mix and match them to whatever's happening in the mission at the moment, like all the game's original music), that is much trickier and requires editing of the music.tbl file.

Well, I would suggest a TBM actually, but I agree...table editing does not require enormous skill.

*dun dun dun duuuuuuuuun*

In all seriousness, the math isn't very hard, you just have to know what you are doing.
