Hello HLP

Apologies in advance for any forum-noob mistakes but I was hoping you might be able to help me out...

As a newish re-discoverer of FS through the magic of FSO, first of all huge thanks to the community that made it happen! Beginning with Descent I loved everything related until FS2 and everything else paled in comparison. I spent years moaning at the lack of a replacement for the FS series - to the point that a mate actually tracked down and purchased an original boxset edition of FS2.

And then I (finally) found SCP towards the end of last year...

Since then I haven't really played much else and I'm onto my second cheapy joystick.

If I'm already being so obsessive about it, it seemed only right that I should try and get all the campaigns I could.

So here's the list of what I've got, if anyone can point me to any that I haven't I'd appreciate it. I've broken then into played, un-played (as yet) and not working (for whatever reason, probably my own incompetence with the mod tools :) )

I'm only after completed campaigns, not works in progress. I have been through the wiki, HLP,  Skippy's, Hades etc and I think I've got most of them. I've got most of the stand-alone FSO mods too but I'm specifically after FS universe mods here.

Oh my, that's some list. Can't think of anything to add to it. And unfortunately can't give any advise regarding the ones with broken links. But what I can tell you is this: Since in this case Skippy is a name rather than a noun, the genetive form is Skippy's, not Skippies. And do visit my Useful Stuff page (link in my signature) to get some extra stuff that even Turey's Installer doesn't download.

But despite this, welcome and enjoy your stay.

There's an SCP compatible version of Solar Wars1 around here, I think. Shadow0000 made it :)

Thanks guys! Sorry Skippy - for some reason I thought 'skippy' as in slang term for an Australian... don't know why...

I should also mention that I forgot Hellgate Ikeya in the played section

All up it's about 3ish Gb though I'm missing voice from some of them

Try Looking on the Hades Combine website.  I think there's some campaigns there that are not on your list.

hey hippie how's it going.  i too have recently gotten the fever after coming up on FSCP.  i was wondering if you have  timeline of those campaigns or have any idea where they fit into the original storylines.  my brain gets confused when bouncing back and forth from one great war to the other.  thanx.

Thanks Macfie, thought I'd been through Hades but it seems I missed a few: Jake Wars and BWO Demo, will grab em now... though I could swear I've played Jake Wars before... ah well.

Hey cronicking, naa mate my brain can't handle it either and doesn't even try any more. I've found it best to ignore such things and just enjoy the mod for what it is and the story it tells.  I think skippy's list and the wiki breaks them into eras quite well but a definitive timeline is probably impossible for a story line purist. Could be a fun exercise for those with time on their hands... kinda like me really... hmmmm... maybe if I get around to it but I was thinking of putting together a basic campaign of my own so that'll be the first priority I guess

It's impossible to reconcile the different timelines. I managed to loosely tether together about 9 or 10 disparate campaigns, but that's about it.

Hey, is there any chance you could email me the folder that Sol: A History is in?  I've been trying for ever to get that one working.

Well although I'm seeing lots of Freespace campaigns I'm not seeing any of the total conversions on there. So that gives you TBP, WCS and BtRL to play through as well once you're done. :)

but he said completed, no WIPs

so he's missing nice demos, e.g. BWO, too  :(

Yup, I've got most of the stand-alone FSO mods like ED, BtRL, TBP, WCS, etc and I'm being almost as obsessive about those too :-) But I'm more after FS2 campaigns at the moment, not conversions and yeah no WIPs. Grabbed BWO demo too but couldn't getting it running with a 10min effort, will get back to it soon though.

Goatmaster, the only advice I could offer on getting it running is to ensure the mod.ini is good - mine lists infernoR1, fsport and mediavps in secondary list. Not sure if fsport is actually needed but the readme file for the mod seems to suggest that it is (?)

Are there are more that people can think of? Am I nearing my goal...

...and I've just found Tinman's repack of BWOD, so it works now..

COW and AHTW are dead, AFAIK.

I have Rogue Intentions (I should, since I made it).  If you give me your email I'll send it to you.

I've tried multiple versions of SW from different sites including the 2 on Hades Combine and several that I found here at HLP with no joy
