Title: Silent Threat - Problems in running the game
Post by: Coach25 on January 13, 2008, 12:32:56 pm
Hi,
I downloaded Silent Threat for Freespace 1. Before I installed it I had patched Freespace to version 1.06. I receive the info that I have to patch it again. I do it, I run a game and I can't see the new campaign in the campaign menu. I can only see the single player mission designed for Silent Threat. What I'm doing wrong. Please, help me.

Thanks :)

Install FSO, install FSPort and play Silent Threat with it.

Ok. Thanks. But are there any other ways of running this campaign. Speaking the truth I am a newbie here and I'm not quite sure how to do things mentioned above  :(

We really need to make getting FSOpen easier.

There are several methods of acquiring FSOpen and it's really worth it.

Could someone link him to an easy installer?

Oh dear, is there such a thing? Wait, yes there is: Turey's mother****ing FSO Installer. Coach25, my man, there's a link to Turey's FSO Installer thread in my signature. Go there, download it, run it and make it download at least FSPort and the MediaVPs. Also, if you already have FS2, install it if you haven't already and then use turey's Installer to download the extras over it.

This is actually the easier option. Getting the original Silent Threat running is sure to be a hell of a lot more difficult.
