Title: Invisible Colossus Syndrome.

I just used Trurey's Installer to DL some of the recent SCP files and i got an unusual bug.

I was playing through the main campaign when it happened. It occured in every mission with the colossus until i fixed it.

Basically, the colossus model didn't show up. I could see the Engine exhaust and the weapons fire, but the rest of the ship was missing

It looked rather odd
Just an Engine glow with no ship emitting it and beams with no source in the middle of deep space

I was able to fix this bug by using the 86 turrets Colossus POF from Hades Combine

Has anyone one ellse notice this bug?

Hmm...ok then. I am not sure what the cause is, since this has never happened. It could be following:

1. The maps are in .jpg/.tga format. Turn jpg/tga flag on inside the Launcher.
2. They are in .dds format (Except I didn't get a invisible model. I just got a model which just got a surface but no map.)
3. The .pof file is corrupt (Normally, a corrupt .pof is shooting through it. Not invisable)
4. No sun (Lamest of all the reasons. Probably the no_emissive_light flag is turned on, and there is no sun)

To be sure, did you you use OpenGl?

Yes i did. Now i do admit that openGL is sometimes a bit...dicey for me - glowmaps suddenly cutting out in middle of missions for example - but i've never  invisibe ships before

Now it could be that i missed something somewhere. or the original POF isn't compatible with the current iterration of SCP.

Since i imported the Hades Combine POF, it shows up fine.

Did you delete the pertinent .IBX files it \Data\Cache?

no it just didnt show up till i added the 86 gun colossus model

Shouldn't that be 84 gun?

45 laser turrets
15 flak guns
12 missile batteries
12 beam cannons

What are the extra 2?

Ive no idea. But atleast it has the number specified in the cutscene...So i'm not complaining. Maybe in-universe, the extra two were added after the Colossus briefing was created.

That's an entry under the Colossus in the ships.tbl . That model just had them reinserted.
