The list of charges against Gotovina is deminishig fast.
Latest UN report confirms that there wasn't a excessive shelling of Knin, the judge himself confirmed that not a single murder can be connected to Gotovina.
The charge of being guilty by command responsibility has also crumbled.
Oh boy, the persecution is loosing badly and the trial is yet to start
What are they being paid for? In so many years they are unable to put together a cohesive charge...but they still insist. Tsk, tsk...

Cool. AFAIK, The Hague has yet to indict anyone without resorting to legal shenanigans. The entire process is illegitimate, so any defendants have my support...for whatever that's worth. Even Gotovina.

Mind filling us in who don't know what you're referring to? :)

The article isn't entirely correct.
1. Gotovina was cleared of the charges in France. If he was a wanted man, France wouldn't prolong his Visa. In fact, this was already confirmed.
2. Attitudes towards Gotovina aren't as divided as it's said here. Practicely the whole population is behind him, but some think that he should defend himself in Haag, others think Haag in a c***hole and he was right to run away.
-
Yes, but the whole population isn't behind him because he's innocent, it's behind him because it's a race between Serbia and Croatia on who's got the most people that committed atrocities, so you can point your finger and say "they're the bad guy".
Personally, I think they should send all of them, regardless of side, to the ****ing gallows like they did with the Nazi's in Nurnberg.
-
Ahh..but hte thing is - he IS innocent.
The accusations are rubbish.
One of the things they are accusing him is being responsible for crimes commited while he was on his honeymoon with his wife..away from the frontlines..not in command (not even in the country IIRC)... I mean, how stupid do you have to get to go for an accusation like that.
and BlackDove..you're for the "kill em all and let God sort em out" approach?
Speaking of which, it's not a race. If it were, Croatia would loose...badly.

Not exactly, it's pretty even actually, because it's really all the same people and all the same territory. Partizans did the exact same **** the Cetniks did. It's not like anyone was special.
****, it's for this war we're the reason the term "ethnic cleansing" is in the English lexicon. Make no mistake from what the government is telling you (and let's be frank, that IS why you think he's innocent, not because you were his buddy and with him to witness his innocence), everyone who had any rank above lieutenant in our war was guilty as sin, and should hang for the **** they've done.
Trust me. I've been there. Personally.
-
So have I.
I don't know if everyone on your side is guilty as hell, I personally doubt it (but I might take your word for it), but I know on my side it was just a few odd jobs.
-
Yes, you see, that's the thing.
I was on BOTH sides.
-
What? You have a split personality disorder?
-
No, I just don't evade the subject.
-
How can you be on both sides? Either you fought for one side or for another. :wtf:
Or you are a traitor that switched sides...

... I think this should end before it goes any further....
