It will be a space adventure - Han Solo type. Fights in space and on planets as you explore, smuggle and generally make a living with your small and faithful crew.

It looks promising :)

The concept seems cool, kinda like Firefly :)

Ohh...first screenies (just to please us raving forum fanboys)

Still far from the finishing product, but looks good :)

Was SotS actually good? I bought it, but the interface was so god awful I shelved it after 15 minutes. Is it even worth trying again?
-
SOTS? You SHELEVED it?
HERESY!! HERESY!!! You should be burned!
SOTS has a great interface, altough it takes a bit of a getting used too...especially the 3D Galaxy map.
But it's a friggin amazing game..especially with the expansion (Born of Blood)..a real add-on, not same half-assed job that passes for a add-on these days...

I didn't mind the galaxy map. It was the tech tree that did it for me - the 3-d wannabe hologram where you had to scroll 360 just to see all you options really pissed me off. Style is nice, but when it affects usability.....well, then it's awful.
This is before any patches though, let alone add ons, so maybe they've got a mode that says "Just get me to the goddamned options already" now?
-
No, the tech tree is still 3D, but I see no problem in it.
There aren't that many techs and branches to get easily confused and you can see a god deal of the tech tree on screen at any time.
SOTS excels at space battles. Real physics. Real targeting (the very polygon you clicked will be targeted). Real collision/hit detection. Lots of fireworks.
