Title: Graphics problem
Post by: kmunoz on January 26, 2008, 07:44:13 am
I'm running FS2_Open on an iMac 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo. I'm noticing that all of the graphics (overlays, 3D, main screen, everything) look almost as if they are being rendered only in 256 colors - the color is blocky and the palette is extremely limited (more limited than it was on my MacBook). Is anyone familiar with this particular problem? I'm guessing it's an issue with the graphics chip (Radeon HD2600), because I believe I'm having the same problem in other apps (StarLancer, for example) when I'm booted up on my Windows side (Boot Camp, not Parallels). I think I checked FS2_Open on the Windows side and got the same issue, although that was a few months ago and I can't exactly remember (it didn't occur to me to post here until just now).

but use the "window" mode option in the launcher

Thanks, that build helps with textures on the objects (with or without window mode). All of the other graphics (HUD, background, main screen) are still splotchy (with or without window mode).
