I made a new turret and it's muzzel flash doen't seem to work. I have been over a hundred times and can't figure it out.
can ya help a bro out?

:lol: No problem! It happens even to the best of us! One time I spent literally half an hour agonizing over why my shield mesh wasn't working untill I found out I kept spelling shield wrong :ick:

um, it's still not working.
thanks for finding the typo. now I just need to figure out what else is wrong :sigh:.

Try converting the .eff into a .ani (or optimally just make a new .ani with the descent manager tools since it's only a fraction of a second long). Or maybe that's you problem :eek:

I am going to increase the offset. maybe that has somthing to do with it?

Non-flak or non-beam turrets in stable branch builds can not use muzzleflashes. In fighter/bomber fixed firepoint it should work fine.

Ooooooh, you were trying to use it on a turret? I was wondering why it wouldn't work because it always worked on my fighters :rolleyes:

IIRC it was one of the first things that didnt make it into the both branches. And even that was due to the day when it was committed... but i could be wrong about it too.
