Beautifully done. i just finished, those last cutscenes, plus the part with the credits, made me cry. badly. out of a mix of joy and sadness. (none of the joy came from the fact that i beat it, that revelation came later.)
Wonderfully, beautifully, excellently done. Thank you.
(hey lobo, is THAT better? :p )

isn't that called bittersweet?
And yes. FS1 Is a very, very, great game. I got the same reaction to it :)

It was my favourite of the series. I find that sometimes a good video game is better than a good book, and more immersing. Take FS1, or Half-Life 2. Both games had so many emotions, and were so well executed. I remen=mber when I played FS1 i '03, I nearly cried.

Descent had a smaller impact like that on me too. And of course, being me, I always cried at X-Wing alliance and every one of the star wars movies :)

FS1 brings up mixed feelings. In a way you are glad that you were able to stop the Lucifer and save Earth. On the other hand it is sad that the jump node(s) is collapsed and Earth is severed. And the mention that the Shivans can reopen nodes. But then again the feeling of peace that the narrator won't live long enough to see the return of the Shivans.
(hey lobo, is THAT better? :p )
Indeed. Thank you.

speaking of the narrator, is that pheraps your character, musing? and he sounds funny because he was extremely wounded in the final mission?

That's my understanding of it. :)

I had both games when I finished FS1 so immediately after finishing FS1, I fired up FS2. :P

I played FS2:Colossus, it came with my logi**** joystick, And then I realized that my dad had a copy of FS1 downstairs. I torrented FS2 afterwards, and then found the SCP.
