She mostly spins to the right for me...
"Shocker!" :p
-
Left.
-
I can make myself see her spin both ways, although if I don't focus a bit first she'll spin clockwise.
-
Same as Ghostavo.
-
That's crazy it spins to the right when I look, but when I really think about it it will change... I have trouble comprehending why it does that
But it's pretty cool
-
I can easily make her spin both ways.
-
She could sleep on either side.... :nervous:
-
I saw her spin counter-clockwise at first, and then couldn't get her to change direction until it happened by accident when I was reading the article right next to the picture. Then she started spinning clockwise. Now I can't get her to change back!
... Did I mention I am really ****ing tired? My daughter is teething. I'm at the point where coffee no longer has any effect on me except more frequent trips to the bathroom.

She spins clockwise to me. I can make it seem the other way if concentrate on the head, but that "illusion" breaks instantly if I look at the whole image.
Cool stuff.
Edit: Oh wtf. Now it looks like it's just oscillating back and forth every half-rotation. Maybe I'm schizophrenic

That image's rotation direction has pretty much nothing to do with using one half of the brain more than other.
It's a simple illusion that can be perceived in many ways, and a lot of things affect how you perceive it. Most people see her rotating clock-wise because of the simple perspective issue that the stretched feet seems to be "higher" when it is moving from left to right, and in normal perspective (feet are lower than your eyes) that means the higher (closer to horizon) the rotating feet is, the further it is from you.
Thus it seems that since the feet is both further from you (behind the girl) and moving from left to right, the interpretation is that she's rotating clock-wise.
However, if you switch your perspective so that your viewpoint is slightly lower than the level of her feet, things become different as now the higher the foot is, the closer it appears to be - and thus the direction of rotation changes.
You can even test this by as simply as either tilting the monitor so that you view it from slight downward angle. The difference in perception is notable even with this small change.
Here's an alternate perspective:

And here's what you normally perceive (pretty much anyway...):

EDIT: Changed the order of images for better effect on the apparent perspective difference.
Sorry for the crappy animations, couldn't bother to make the background perfectly under-imposed to the character... should prove the point anyway.
Of course, I can make her legs and torso rotate to different directions, but that's pretty freaky and makes me want to call an exorcist to take the image away, but whatever.
Soo... should this test better discern whether you look at spinning women from eye level or from floor level? :drevil:
-
That's cool! I had no idea
-
Frickin' sweet. Thanks for the lesson. I got clockwise, by the way. And when I looked at the bottom, counterclockwise, and oscillating sometimes.

I got clockwise for ages, just couldn't see the counter clockwise rotation, took the wife approximately two minutes to get it to change. I still couldn't see it, then I watched the shadow in Herra Tohtori post and all of a sudden there it was and it wsa a struggle to get it to switch back for a bit. FREAKY!!!
-
Eyes like patterns, once they've found one, they have trouble adjusting to find another one inside it. It's kind of like that picture that is an old lady and a young woman both at the same time.
-
At first it was clockwise without question.
Now I see the dancer turn halfway and sort of... transition herself towards the other direction... I can probably make her move in any direction I want to with a little bit of effort, just follow the rythm and stuffs.  :wtf:
:nervous:

I see clipping errors.

Who are you and why are you stealing my thoughts and passing them off as your own?
-
At first it seemed to be permanently clockwise. When I looked toward my crotch area for a moment, suddenly the image changed to counter clockwise. Now, all I have to do is stare at the image's crotch area to change the turning direction at will.
I really need a girlfriend.
-
I now seem to have switched sides too many times and now I can't manage to see a complete turn... :nervous:
-
I should have left her turning clockwise, now she won't turn at all. :(
-
crap, you all are just messing with me! it only spins to the right!
