Title: Who knows? - Split from FreeSpace Open Installer

FSPort has it's own training missions, as FS1 would have.

I like FS2's training better :)

I don't know... I've always felt that the FS1 instructor knows what he's doing and has been training new pilots for several years, as well as seeing some actual action himself. The FS2 instructor always struck me as the evil twin brother of the Command dude.

The FS2 instructor is a simulator.

The FS2 missions gave you more info, though.

:wtf: Can they be twins anymore, if the mother is different? Oh well, I guess so. The physics department on FS has never been that accurate so the same just might hold true for the biology department.

Man its outer space, WAY outer space, of course they ca be twins with different mothers, in this kinder gentler universe, they can be anything they want to be and we'll love them for what they are

Ah, yes. I remember back in the good ol' days, when I was playing Mafia. I wasn't using headphones back then, but my 2.1 speakers. There was a cutscene rolling, where the Morello brothers, accompanied by some thugs, were beating a dock worker or something. My mum came into my room and started explaining something about the following day and such, when suddenly the other Morello yelled "Would you please SHUT UP?! We're trying to talk here!". Needless to say, there was a moment of awkward silence, after which I commented something along the lines of "Umm... just ignore that. Actually, I think I'll mute the speakers."

Even this scenario could have been avoided if the people in the cutscene would have just talked about their problems. Maybe in terms of lunch or something.

You call that the good old days? LMAO, I might be telling my age here, but I remember when a game called MYST was brand new and tops with its 256 colors and actual Real interface (for that time period anyway)
then came the ultimate scifi game, Forsaken, I still have both, but no computer old enough to run them.

Ok, I'll take back the 'old' part, but those still were good days. Before I invested money in Mafia, I had to make sure that it'll work on my rig. So I downloaded the 213meg demo with my trusty 56k modem. Only took about 13 hours, so it was easily achieved overnight. Then, success! It worked. So, off to the store to buy it. Ah, it was a good game. I must've played it through, what, 8 times. It beat the crap out of my back-then rig, but it was still fun. Mostly because it was sort of like GTA but with some distinct differences.

56k? man I remember those, do you remember a 14.4k modem?

Oh I have a way worse problem than that right now, I just had top uninstall Freespace, every time I tried to start the game it restarted the computer, I know what is causing it so It'll be a couple of days before I fix this problem.
The good news is I'm no longer half way through all of the mods LMAO, I'm gonna be a recruit again YEAAAA! LOL
