It seems that we all have power to control our own forums, should we excersize this power? :D:D
-
Do you really want an answer to that?
-
:D:D
-
you should know better than to ask such questions by now, i only now got here and even i know that :p
-
Do what must be done - abuse the power and we'll do what must be done - capich? ;)
-
Don't worry, i won't abuse any powers i have. I will do the same whit my last moderating powers, only use them when they are absolutly needed otherwise i won't even look at them;)
-
Good stuff - I was just saying it for reference anyways, the people at HLP are a fairly good bunch when it comes to this kind of thing :)

Rules of thumb for being a good admin.
1) Do unto others that you would do unto yourself.
2) If you weren't a admin, would you close the thread?
3) Inspire fear and control in the forum population, but never use that power.
4) Enjoy! :)

As the Bastard Operator From Hell always says,
"All power corrupts. Absolute power is even more fun."

Hmmm. Where'd I put that baseball bat?
These mod guidelines sound suspiciously like Spiderman guidelines:
With great power comes great responsibilty
And all that mushy, sentimental, do-gooding crap.
-
Well, on the old board the only moderator powers I used was to shut up Dragonclaw...

What do you suggest, frequent smiting of topics by the admin simply because they can?
-
Pretty much.

The guys who wrote Spiderman weren't morons. They did have a point and a purpose. It doesn't matter of Spiderman said it or the Pope, the sentence remains and its wisdom remains as well.
-
Now now, lets be nice to an0n - he's just never going to be a moderator here - thats all :)
-
[sarcasm] :( [/sarcasm]
-
You just admitted that moderation powers should be abused - like hell should you ever be allowed them.
-
If I cared any less, an anti-caring field would begin to form around me and lower the levels of caring in anyone near me.
-
And yet you cared enough to bring up the whole thing in the first place.
an0n - do the world a favour and stop talking about this :)
