Title: Music: The Dark Temple
Post by: blackhole on February 18, 2008, 03:16:19 am
Yes, I'm working on the orchestra samples, but I can only go for so long without composing something.

Can freespace even read Mp3s?

Freespace reads either .wav or .ogg, not mp3. You'd need to convert it. Plenty of (free) programs out there capable of that.

Linky fixed. (http://www.ericmhobbs.com/Blackhole/music.php) "Dark Temple" is listed on this page.

You don't need the tbl, use the play-sound SEXPs.

Remix them NAO. :P

What may those be?
Audacity? lol.

lol? lol?! What do you mean "lol"?. Audacity is quite handy, not to mention free. I use it to create my ringtones and to rape any music with an unnecessarily high bitrate into 128kbit. And if you want to use an mp3 in FS, you need to convert it into ogg. And Audacity does it way better than the common solution of just manually changing the file extention from .mp3 to .ogg.

Make sure to use reliable programs, the one I use not only convert the files but also make their size "galactic".

The lol because I thought it wasn't free.

EDIT: Woot it is free. Yes! Now I'm not stuck with leeching tracks off other campaigns!

Did you perchance confuse it with Goldwave? That is shareware and therefore technically not free. Audacity is open source which, in most cases, equals free.

Heh, oops. I reuploaded the song so the original link will work again <_<

That's what I get for updating my website without checking links...

They are custom synths, not samples, but yeah, most of my synths tend to sound like that due to the process I go through.

Thanks! :D
