Title: How can the player delay arrival time?
Post by: Titan on February 21, 2008, 08:17:02 am
ok, i want it to be so that the player has to try and destroy this scout wing. If he does, the enemy's main attack gets delayed enough for a friendly cruiser to come. if the scouts manage to escape, the attack comes about ten seconds after the scouts depart, and there's no friendly cruiser reinforcement.

here's a picture of what i have now, i haven't finished putting in the events for this:

EDIT: ok, here's the arrival cue for one of the attack ships

I've found that objectively writing down a problem in order to make a forum post often gives me a new perspective that click buttons, playtesting and then cursing a lot rarely does. :D
