Title: More Admiral conspiracies...
Post by: jdjtcagle on February 21, 2008, 04:42:16 pm
Special Operations Command has planted a secret nano spy camera in Bosch's personal belongings hoping to find more out about his ETAK project...

I was bored...

One can tell...

Personally I think that Bosch was a good man real deep down, who was only doing what he thought was best for his race.
And now? Probably being "examined" by the Shivans, who've finally decided to find out how Terrans are so resilient.

Is Bosch really such a bad man anyway?

He didn't want to start hostalities between the GTVA and the NTF.  I remember a quote of his saying that if he was allowed access to a node, he would withdraw all his forces from the system.  He didn't see the need for pointless bloodshed on either side of the divide.

My personal belief, is that the Admiral wanted to try and form a truce/alliance with the Shivans (or whatever they choose to be called), to not only discover more of their existance, but to see if we can get home.  I claim this as Petrach says himself it will take decades to build a fully functioning Knossos in Delta Serpentis.  Well what if The Shivans could show us a quicker way back to Earth?

But I can see why the NTF was formed.  I cannot see the GTVA General Assembly being all too happy to let one of their Admirals risk their fleet to try and communicate with The Shivans with the risk of possible annialation, and I personally believe that Bosch was smart enough to know this.

-YES! He used Terrans hate to drive the to attack our allies. Allies are allies, no matter the past. Loyalty, Honor, Trust. Bosch should not have used this as a means to an end.

He didn't see the need for pointless bloodshed on either side of the divide.
-Well why start a ****ing war for false pretentions?

-The shivans just ****ing annihalated Vasuda Prime, and were on their way to nuke Sol as well, and we are on the verge of extinction. So I would say a decade or two is worth it, if we can do it on our own. If we let the shivans help us, they will kill Sol. So I would wrather be safer then sorry. How the hell can you go to the shivans for help to get back home when they are slaughtering us for no reason, and have defeated the ancients to extinction and many other races. Why would they stop to help us get back home again. Like helping a lost child find their parents, when they can eat the childs brains!

-That is because the GTVA would not have let him continue his experiment. He would have ever made ETAK,  we would have never found the Knossos which is the key for getting back to Sol. So no, he is not a bad man, the war was so bloody in chance.

He didn't see the need for pointless bloodshed on either side of the divide.

-He did it for the Human and possibly Vasudan race(s).

Bosch had the best interests of humanity at heart, always did, but he had a ****ty way of going about it.

And perhaps, in the end, we owe him our victory. Maybe he found out the Shivans could not be swayed from their course of genocide...so he lied to them about the strength and resources of the GTVA, wildly extaggerating the GTVA's capablities, to get the Shivans to leave us alone. Only he overdid it and they got so worried they blew up Capella to make a buffer.

Thats good

I believe he was taken to Shivan high command to try and forge a peace between Terrans and shivans. Only he made two shocking discovery.

1) The GTA started the great War in the first place. Im hesitant to use Silent threat as a souce since it is so messed up, but It is mentioned that GTI know about the shivans prior to Riviera (Ross 128) I say that in capturing/destroying shivan targets prior to this event, the Shivans decided to go Minbari on the GTA and declare a Holy War against them. The Vasudans also did something to Honk off the Shivans and as we know, shivans are like Bonecrusher from Transformers (2007). They hate to be irked. Vasuda and Capella were the Shivans equivalent to the bus that Bonecrusher totalled.

2) Im keeoing this discovery for a campaign of my own...

well, if we didn't have the shivans (aka overly-contrived plot element) then the game would have been
1. a boring shoot vasudans mission X infinity,
2. and freespace 2 never would have been made. which brings us too-

EDIT: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT a minute, haven't we already had this discussion before?
