Ok, the questions are as follows:
1) Alright, I have all of my turrets ready to go, named and everything, but when I go to glue them, it acts all funny, and won't let me have:
hull
-----Detail0
-----Turret01
-----Turret02
right, it does something like this:
-----Detail0
-------Turret02
-----Turret01
Yes, a cookie to the one who can figure out what I just said...
And the phenomena:
Messing around in fred 2, create 3 wings of fighters that are classed as 'unknown' because they are in storage. I decide to target one to see if it is all working properly, I target it, and 2 seconds later, it explodes! After another two seconds, all 'unknown' ships spontaniously combust creating a field of explosions...which looked cool I might add...but odd for the mission...

Are you making sure you glue all the turrets to the main hull before gluing the LOD objects to it?
Also, are you gluing as sibling?

no aldo, I was gluing them as children
I remembered my other question!!!
Fighter shields:
Ok...I have my spiffy little fighter all ready to go kill shivans, and I add a sphere, name it 'shield', triangulate it, and then glue it to the model...and it makes the sphere lod2...oookay...
anyways, help please...

isn't the name shield01?

not on mine.... are you gluing it in the right order?
is th light/shield combo called shield not just the shield?
