I came across this on the internet and I must say, even for one of those christian end of the world movies, it's horrible. Bad acting, cheesy sfx, and bad dialogue are three reasons to endlessly make jokes about this movie. Where's MST3K when you need it?
EDIT: also forgot to mention the cheesy soundtrack, half of which sounded like it was ripped off from other movies. Also the actors are kind of ugly.......

And so you thought it would be a jolly good idea to introduce this "title" to us, which we propably would have never even hear about otherwise?
There something special in this that makes it worth mentioning?

It's one of the worst movies ever.

Thankyou for bringing it to our attention. It shall be noted.

Worse than Battlefield Earth? :doubt:

Manos.
'nuff said.

I read somewhere that a fairly large percentage of Americans believe that it will happen in their lifetimes and actually welcome it so she's in good company.

I'll be shocked when you define "fairly large" and it turns out larger than 15%.
-
By "fairly large percentage" he probably means "Christian crazies."
-
Which is why I'm not surprised. :p
I "dislike" people with "extreme religious devotion". But not enough to go and actually do anything other than complain about them on the internet. :nervous:

Here's my source if anyone is interested:
And why not? There's a constituency for it. A 2002 TIME/CNN poll found that 59 percent of Americans believe that the prophecies found in the Book of Revelation are going to come true. Nearly one-quarter think the Bible predicted the 9/11 attacks. Drive across the country with your radio tuned to the more than 1,600 Christian radio stations or in the motel turn some of the 250 Christian TV stations and you can hear some of this end-time gospel. And you will come to understand why people under the spell of such potent prophecies cannot be expected, as Grist puts it, "to worry about the environment. Why care about the earth when the droughts, floods, famine and pestilence brought by ecological collapse are signs of the apocalypse foretold in the Bible? Why care about global climate change when you and yours will be rescued in the rapture? And why care about converting from oil to solar when the same God who performed the miracle of the loaves and fishes can whip up a few billion barrels of light crude with a word?"

Basically America is a massively powerful country with a deathwish. Really scary stuff.....

From what that article says, I'm willing to bet that the "Americans" were surveyed as they walked into church...
Either way, I can guarantee you that that survey isn't an accurate portrayal of Americans.

This was the article he was referencing:

How do you think it isn't accurate?

Why should I? I'm taking a stats class and I can tell you how easy it is to screw up, intentionally or otherwise, this kind of thing. Welcome to voluntary response bias, Kosh.
