A while back someone (I don't remember who) was working on a set of system background templates to standardize the backgrounds for systems so that they would look the same. I had a zip file that had a set of missions with backgrounds for different systems. Unfortunately it got lost when I switched computers.
Is anyone still working on this?
Where can I get a copy of the standardized system templates?

Was it Lightspeed? It was a nebula pack and I thinough t it was included in the SCP DL now?

I have it; I haven't really put into a releasable form. I need to polish it up. I had hoped to get the other half dozen or so stars needed for FS1 and other big campaigns out of M87 before posting it.

Wasn't someone also working on a 3d animated SUNS pack??? Any word on that?
-
Never heard of animated 3D suns before. I wouldn't think FSO could accept a 3D sun.

Whatever it was it was awesome... There used to be pic in the art section 6-8 months ago.

Just as a real-life note: Whoever does Regulus should remember that the star is a bit squashed-looking from rotating so fast. ;)

Someone released a set of backgrounds based on the existing missions once already, IIRC.

So does jupiter. Which is where :v: screwed up when they made their Jupiter planet texture, even though it wasn't *supposed* to be jupiter :P

That is M87's job. You'll note he made Vega correctly oblate over in the stellar enhancements thread.
