Title: Sol: A History Error
Post by: ShenBear on February 25, 2008, 08:36:49 pm
Hello!

Thanks to a wonderful member here, I was pointed to the location where to download S:AH. Now, however, I'm encountering an error.

I'm running SCP, INFR1 with the patch. I placed the S:AH files and the table updates for SCP from Hades Combine in the INFR1 folder because that's the only place I could get it to work in.

Now my problem seems to be with the Majesty... When I start up the mission where I defend the Pluto Styx from Neptune assault, I complete it successfully. The next mission gives me a crash to desktop with this error:

Error: Invalid ship class name.

In sexpression: ( when
   ( has-time-elapsed 3 )

I also get this error:

Error: Invalid subsystem name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, since I'm a total newbie when it comes to fixing the tables, where would I go to grab a build of INF SCP?

The Recent Builds subforum of the Source Code Project.

But I'll save you the trouble. This is the most recent (and stable) Inferno build. (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,50266.0.html)

Just tell the Launcher to use it rather than your normal FSOpen when playing S:AH.

Thank you so much ssmit132 and Dark Hunter. S:AH is running beautifully now.

So I'm assuming you didn't even try Solar Wars? :p

You assume correctly lol.  I may have to give those two another shot, though.
