I understand there are specific forums for this subject but HLP has a broad knowledge base for a specialist website. Hotmail/windows live seems to have ground to a halt on my phone browser. Does anyone have any experience setting Hotmail up on a sony K810i as i have urgent attachments to retrieve :( don't fail me Alpha 1's!

just setting it up via POP?
-
Yep, the free Hotmail account which i've had since the days of FS1 squadwar.

This actually should be my area of expertice since I work in mobile tech support. I just can't remember from the hip how it was done. If I remember correctly you need some adress for the service provider and for Hotmail. The rest should be pretty straightforward. Your service provider should be able to help you with this. If they are up to standards.
Though you foreigners are so weird that you propably have to pay an arm and a leg to get support that should be free...

Depends on who your network is? I know with Vodafone you can go to their website and have the settings texted to your phone, (I did it with my tiscali e-mail account).

T-Mobile, Hotmail and sony ericsson, i'll have to cross check all their support pages :( and less of the foreigner lol

use a computer.

Hotmail itself works fine on my phone. It automaticaly loads the phone version of hotmail.
Or simply go through wap.google.com and log in from there. But you need a feature of 'cookies' in your phone.

Through the browsers fine. I just can't access attachments. I was thinking more of the e-mail section under messages. But pop3 settings elude me.

if im not wrong you have to enable this inside the hotmail account its a bit like using micro****s outlook, you cant download mail and atachments without it enabled in your hotmail account............................
