Post by: untouchable on February 14, 2002, 11:05:59 pm
Ok, how does one accomplish Command Breifings using LW? I tried to render all the frames to PCX but they were all the wrong color resolution...... (and last time I checked it would take 5 years to edit the color resoultion of 400 frames so.........

can someone help?

What you need is a program that will take the frames and give them a common color pallete... Bright can do that last time I checked.

I use Irfanview to convert the images to index color and into pcx format 500 images done in 2/3 secs

and it can almost view any format there is.

i use animation shop

to extract the avi, then extract the frames to bmp, then convert bmp to pcx with bright

the quality loss is minimal

k wel i used bright to, and then anibuilder ****s the palletes up

use this command with bright

- common

and

 - ycc

so for example

?? you have to typ it in after : bright tt0000.bmp

c:\windows\desktop>bright test*.bmp - common - ycc

this will convert all test(number order).bmp files in that directory with the same palette and the ycc helps the collour reduction

read the readme for bright .....

there are a load of useful commands, but common is the one you need most

the colours will now be correct in your animation, as they will all use the same pallette...like anibuilder requires
