Title: In game movies can't be played.

Althought I have no idea why, the in game cutscenes or indeed any movies in the regular Freespace 2 SCP won't play. Even when I try to access them from the tech room, it just comes up with an in game error message saying 'Unable to play movie <movie name>'. All other graphics work absolutely perfectly, it's just the movies.

I haven't modified anything or changed any options from the default after installation options and so afterwards, I tried to change some of the open launcher options to no avail. I tried reinstalling it and then redownloading it but none of them have worked. I know it's not my computer as all my Direct X drivers and video and audio codecs are up to date, so does anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Just found out the reason. Ignore this topic because I'm not allowed to delete it.

Yup. That Direct3D is quite useless around here.
