Title: Extracting audio/voice files?
Post by: Ryan on March 14, 2008, 10:44:42 pm
Hello! You know those briefings, ingame messages, voice acting, etc? Can you please tell me how to extract those into an AVI or WMV file to be used? I would love to use them for something.

Thank you!

All of those files are in .wav format. They can be found within the .vp files, which you can open using VPView (http://www.descent-network.com/descman/).

Avi? Maybe my cultural awareness is missing some key element, but wouldn't an avi require some video as well?

Yes, .avi is an acronym for Audio Video Interleave. Maybe you're also talking about the animations during command briefings, Ryan?
