Hey folks,
i've got a big problem with a few asteroids in a mission. They're invisible, unattackable and very tenaciously kissing the Iceni's ass (poor girl, invisible lovers are really breaking her heart till she explodes). It's nearly the same problem as here (http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:hA3cxxDkSBYJ:www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php%3Ftopic%3D48268.msg%2525msg_id%2525+freespace+2+asteroids+invisible&hl=de&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=de).
My Launcher didn't show any option to me to enable the -jpgtga flag. I've downloaded the 5.5c version but it didn't change anything at all and... well... if it's avoidable i'll try to fix it without downloading everything again.

Any suggestions for a stranger? You're my last chance to prevent hours of downloading and waiting...

What build are you using? If I'm not completely mistaken, 3.6.10 builds have the jpg/tga textures enabled by default and the option isn't even visible on the Features list anymore. With 3.6.9 you do need to tick it from the list.

I'm using 3.6.9... an i want to kick it but the window is totally empty.
Starting the laucher.exe, a window pops up saying something like:
"Fatal Error: Failed to read flag"
After that the launcher starts, but with an empty features list so it's impossible to turn anything off. :/

The stuff which is missing is either optional or likely to be changed after you install the game so I wouldn't worry about that too much just yet.
My suggestion is to delete your launcher6.ini file and rerun the launcher. If that doesn't work run the FS2_Open_3_6_9_debug.exe file directly (i.e by double clicking it NOT via the launcher) and post the FS2_Open.log you'll now find in data.

Okay, I thought so but I wasn't certain. You're not actually running FS2_Open from the launcher. You're running FS2 Retail which for some reason has been given the same name as the build of FS2_Open you should be running.
1) Rename FS2_Open_3_6_9.exe to FS2.exe
2) Either by rerunning Turey's launcher or by getting it from this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,44291.0.html) get yourself a copy of FS2_Open.3.6.9
3) Run the launcher and remember to choose mediavps as your mod.

I've installed the game via Turey's launcher :/ I've run it again after i renamed the file but... there's no "new" open file...

There won't be a new file. For some reason your retail file was pretending to be FS2_Open. If you've redownloaded you should now actually have FS2_Open and it should work.

Nope.
I renamed my old "fs2_open_3_6_9.exe" file to "fs2.exe" (cause "FS2.exe" was already there i deleted it).
In my directory it looks like
fs2.exe (renamed old "fs2_open_3_6_9.exe" - signed as "open" bevor renaming)
fs2_open_3_6_9_debug.exe (signed as "open")
fs2_open_3_6_10-20071007T.exe (signed as "open")
fs2_open_3_6_10_debug-20071007T.exe (signed as "open")
----
- FS2.exe (signed as "retail" in the launcher - now deleted)
---
after "reinstalling".
Nothing changed. No more options in my features list :(

Go to the link I gave you above and just download 3.6.9 then.
