I have this problem - TS 3.2 doesn't want to:
a) work on an object that is not a solid
b) work with the solidifier I found- it requires 4.1 or newer
Anyone know a plugin for TS 3.2, or a different program that can solidify an object?
-
what do you mean, solidify? I don't know what that is.

This is the message I get:

This is how the object looks like when decomposed into objects:

And Solidify is something that changes those 100 little meshes into 1 'solid' object that I can union or subtract stuff from, but it doesn't work on TS 3.2, and I don't feel like buying 4.1 or newer just to get 2 models working.
Any advice?

Any modelling program requiring over 100 submeshes should be burned at stake.
-
did you happen to use metaballs?
PS: no one should use ts3.2 for modeling anyway. just to get the intermediate stuff working so you can convert it.

My first version back in 99 was 2.1......... So imagine what :v: had to work with to make the Apollo and the Lucifer. Makes you think  a little patience etc.
-
:v: used 3DS Max.
My advice would be to switch to Blender or any other free modeler you can find, anything but that hellspawn of Truespace.
-
That would pretty much be my advice as well.
ROFL @ this though:

It's like "Your program has a bug in it. Erase program? Yes/No" :D :p

You never know what Windows could come up with :p

:v: had a 3ds > Pof? Who's idea back in the day was it to use truespace as the communities forefront modelling program? I had no idea :( :v: respect -5 points.

:v: wrote their own exporter.
IIRC, .cob was chosen because back in the day Truespace was one of the only freely available modeling apps.
