Title: Weapons problem
Post by: RiflemanIII on March 23, 2008, 05:27:31 pm
Hey, I'm having a bit of a problem with FS 3_6_10, as downloaded through the FS installer. Every time I re-open a pilot file to continue a campaign, my selectable weapons get pared back to only those available in the first couple of missions- The Subach, SDG, Rockeye, and Tempest. Has anyone else had these problems, and is there anything I can do to fix it? I've tried it with a fresh pilot, and  the problem persists.

Are you sure that you're not mixing campaigns and mods together? Those things might very well happen if you, for example, try to play the FS2 main campaign, while using FSPort as a mod.

I'm pretty sure you can only play one campaign at a time.  If you try to switch back and forth it will corrupt your pilot file.  If your playing a mod create a new pilot for that mod just to be on the safe side.

Indeed it is possible to play only one campaign at a time. No one said anything about stopping the Lucifer and beating the NTF at the same time.

Switching between campaigns and mods without proper preemptive measures will cause pilot corruption. It is possible to do everything with one pilot, but that involves playing one campaign at a time. Switching to another campaign in the middle of another and then going back causes pain and misery.

But it is also most possible to play a campaign with a non-related mod. Trust me. I've played Homesick under FSPort. And I'm most certainly never going to do that again.
