G'day,
I need to edit some models in Freespace (eg: change the textures to ones I want, edit the model alittle etc). Which programs do I need and how do I get the .pof models into a format that the 3d program will open.
Also which 3D program is recommended (and 3D max is out since I dont have a few grand lieing around :()
A 'modeling noob' program would be preferred (aka easy enough to get the hang of).
Also, how can I extract the video's from Freespace 1 & 2, ive done it before but have forgotten what the program was called :nervous:
Thanks

1. PCS2 for texture replacement.
2. I don't think there's reverse conversion from *.pof -> anything. I might be wrong, and probably am.
3. Use a VP viewer/extractor?

2. You can convert to COB and then edit the model in TrueSpace (if you can get the hang of it ), or export again from truespace and use something else.

Does anyone have a link for PSC2 and COB?
Cant find them, found truespace, but isnt that only free for trial, and if so what are the restrictions for the trial edition?
Thanks :)
